This centre has been created to undertake extensive exploratory research and documentation on the Sacred Landscapes of Kamakhya and Kamarupa based on its mythology, history, heritage, ancient documents, archeology, iconography, religious philosophy & traditions and demography & socio-anthropology.
The centre has been established as an interdisciplinary research organization with the primary aim and objective to undertake intensive research and documentation on the Kulachara Tantra Marga of Kamakhya and bring together both scholars and practitioners of the various Schools & Sects of Tantra for a comparative exploratory, analytical, critical, constructive and in-depth research, documentation on the Tantra Tradition of India.
The centre has been conceptualized as a participatory research platform for scholars and students to conduct research and documentation on the Vedas, Upa Vedas, Brahmanas, Aranyakas, Upanishadas, Dharma Shastras, Puranas, Upa Puranas, Gitas, Bhagavata Gita.
The centre has been conceptualized as a participatory research platform for scholars and students to conduct research and documentation on the Itihasa, Yoga & Yogasutras, Samhitas, Artha-Shastra, Niti Shastra, Grihya Sutras, Mimansa Sutras, Nyaya Sutras, Shankhya Sutras, Vaiseshikha Sutras, Vedanta Sutras, Kama Shastras, Jataka Mala, Pancha Tantra, Hitopadesha, Kavya, Natya Shastra, Alankara Shastra, Sangeeta Shastra, History & Heritage of Indic Religion, Temple Landscape of Indian Subcontinent, Indic Centers of Knowledge (Indic knowledge systems), Religious Demography &Socio-Anthropology of Indian Subcontinent, Indic Religious Fairs & Festivals.
The “Kaula Nest” has been conceptualized and structurally designed as an archetypal exclusive Sadhana and Kriya Sthala (hall) for the initiated Sadhakas of the Kulachara Tantra Marga of Kamakhya and other surviving Tantra Kula Parampars.
This Gurukula has been created as Veda Pathashala and Teaching-Learning Centre for the Gyana Kanda- Karma Kanda-Kriya Kanda-Kriya Kalpa of the Vedic Rituals.
This Gurukula has been created as the Centre for Orientation-Guidance-Assistance (Jñānabodha Kendra), Centre for Enlightenment of Initiation (Diksha Prakasha Kendra), In-Depth Learning Centre (Shiksha Kendra) of the Gyana Kanda-Karma Kanda-Kriya Kanda-Kriya Kalpa and a Centre of Excellence (Gyanagarbha Kendra) of the Kulachara Tahtra Marga Parampara (Tradition).
This Gurukula has been created as Kulachara Tantra Marga Pathashala and Teaching-Learning Centre for the Gyana Kanda- Karma Kanda-Kriya Kanda-Kriya Kalpa of the Puja & Rituals related to the Kulachara Tantra Marga Pathashala.
This Project has been initiated to digitize and conserve the Ancient & Rare Document Collections of Rajib Sarma in collaboration with Foundation for History and Heritage Studies.
Rajib Sarma has already collected 500+ ancient handwritten manuscripts, documents, maps, copper plates and 5000+ hard & soft copies of rare books on Religious Studies, Religious Philosophy, Studies in Hindu / Buddhist / Jain Tantra, Shakta Tantra, Kulachara Tantra Marga Parampars (traditions), Ritual Practices, Applied Ritual References, Religious Tradition, Comparative Religion, History of Religion.
Under this Project, the digitization and conservation of ancient handwritten manuscripts have been already started by Rajib Sarma with the assistance provided by the British Library under their “Endangered Archive Programme”.
The core subjects of Research, Transcription, Translation, Compilation and Publication for this centre are- Kulachara Tantra Marga of Kamakhya, Kamakhya Temples’ Complex, Temples of Kamarupa and Tantra & Esoteric Traditions (Hindu, Buddhist, Jaina, Natha, Sabara and Native Sects), Religious Tradition, Religious Philosophy, Socio-religious Culture, Comparative Religion, Temple Landscapes, Archaeology, Iconography, History, Religious/Spiritual Demography, Religious/Spiritual Socio-anthropology, Socio-cultural Traditions of Temple Landscapes, Ethnography of Temple Landscapes of the Indian subcontinent.
